You can reach Andrew on Signal at drewqjoseph.45.<\/p>\n<p>WASHINGTON \u2014 The United States and United Kingdom announced a high-level agreement Monday under which the U.K. is expected to pay more for medicines.<\/p>\n<p>In exchange for agreeing to increase payments going forward, the U.K. will be spared from pharmaceutical tariffs being considered by the Trump administration.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The announcement represents a crucial element of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statnews.com\/2025\/05\/12\/trump-drug-prices-executive-order-most-favored-nation-prescription-pricing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">President Trump\u2019s agenda<\/a> to lower U.S. drug prices and to get other rich nations, which generally pay far less for medicines than the U.S., to pay more.
