The 13-track album includes the previously released \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/stereolab-announce-first-album-in-15-years-share-video-for-new-song-aerial-troubles-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aerial Troubles<\/a>,\u201d which was mailed out as a mysterious 7&#8243; vinyl single in the mail to select fans before the news broke. Alongside original members Tim Gane and Laetitia Sadier, Instant Holograms on Metal Film features contributions from Cooper Crain, Rob Frye, Ben LaMar Gay, Ric Elsworth, Holger Zapf, Marie Merlet, and Molly Read.<\/p>\n<p>Next month, Stereolab head out on <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/news\/stereolab-announce-tour-of-north-america-and-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an international tour<\/a> that\u2019s set to last for months. The band will play various cities in North America and Europe, including a number of festival performances, on through to the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Stereolab\u2019s most recent album, <a href=\"https:\/\/pitchfork.com\/reviews\/albums\/14838-not-music\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Not Music<\/a>, came out back in 2010.
