{"id":606243,"date":"2025-12-01T23:52:19","date_gmt":"2025-12-01T23:52:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/606243\/"},"modified":"2025-12-01T23:52:19","modified_gmt":"2025-12-01T23:52:19","slug":"were-finally-being-heard-project-team-hails-record-gateway-2-approval-milestone-on-london-new-build-scheme-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/606243\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018We\u2019re finally being heard.\u2019 Project team hails record gateway 2 approval \u2018milestone\u2019 on London new build scheme | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 150-home co-living scheme in Hackney has been given gateway 2 approval from the Building Safety Regulator in 13 weeks \u2013 just one week longer than the BSR\u2019s original target time of three months.<\/p>\n<p>Morro, the sister brand of student living specialist Scape, said the news means its scheme on Kingsland Road, known as the Kline, is the fastest new build scheme to achieve gateway 2 approval under the Building Safety Act.<\/p>\n<p>The official target time for the gateway 2 applications for higher-risk buildings is 12 weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"picture\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"kingsland road\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/2019671_kingslandroad_217982_crop.jpg\"  loading=\"eager\" class=\"lazyloaded\" width=\"6667\" height=\"4444\"\/><\/p>\n<p>But the system has been plagued by delays and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.building.co.uk\/news\/luton-mixed-use-scheme-which-drew-councils-ire-for-gateway-2-delays-finally-gets-green-light\/5139363.article\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">slew of schemes<\/a> have bust their intended deadlines. This milestone shows what\u2019s possible when everyone works with clarity, discipline and a shared commitment to safety and quality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others working on the scheme include architect PH Plus and principal designer Veretec.
