Jose Mourinho is plotting a summer raid on Liverpool having targeted a move for Federico Chiesa<\/a>. The Reds have already been confirmed as Premier League<\/a> champions, and with nothing else to play for, they can already get their planning underway for next season.<\/p>\n Arne Slot will be given money to add to the squad in the summer<\/a>, while a couple of current Liverpool<\/a> stars could be on their way out of Anfield. And despite only signing for the club last summer, Chiesa could be one of those.<\/p>\n According to A Spor<\/a>, former Chelsea<\/a> boss Mourinho<\/a> has told Fenerbahce chiefs to target a move for the Italian wideman in the upcoming transfer window. It is suggested that Liverpool would demand around \u00a38.5m for Chiesa, having signed him for \u00a310.1m last summer from Juventus.<\/a><\/p>\n Since then, a combination of injuries and the form of other players have limited Chiesa\u2019s contributions at Anfield. The 27-year-old has made just 12 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring twice.<\/p>\n He now faces an uncomfortable wait to see if he makes enough league outings over the final weeks of the campaign to claim a winners\u2019 medal. At the moment, he is in competition with Mo Salah<\/a> and I don’t think you can deny Mo has quite a good season.”<\/p>\n Chiesa is under contract will Liverpool until the summer of 2028 and despite the rumours of an exit, Paul Merson<\/a> has urged Liverpool to reconsider. Speaking with SportsKeeda<\/a>, the Arsenal<\/a> icon said: \u201cI know Federico Chiesa hasn\u2019t been involved regularly, but if they have the option to keep him, they should in my opinion. He has just been unlucky. I mean, how do you get into that front three?<\/p>\n \u201cLiverpool did not have many injuries this season, but that could change next year.
