Charity shopper Nicola Critchlow was delighted to find some \u00a33 shoes in Bernardo’s on County Road \u2013 especially when she realised how much they’re actually worth<\/p>\n

A bargain hunter couldn’t believe her luck when she spotted her dream shoes in the charity shop<\/a> for just \u00a33.<\/p>\n

Nicola Critchlow had been trying to track down the Isabel Marant Bekett footwear for around 15 years. So when she found the leather wedge sneakers at the Bernado’s thrift store, she was understandably delighted. Despite only costing a few quid, the shoes are actually worth much more.<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old, from Liverpool, recalled: \u201cI approached with caution and then felt a bit sick because I could tell they were quality and most likely real. Even though they look like they need a little clean up, the craftsmanship is impeccable.”<\/p>\n

Nicola added: \u201cI first got obsessed about 15 years ago, and I just thought they\u2019d be an item on my wish list, but I\u2019d never actually commit to getting some. They were the \u2018it girl\u2019 shoe when they were launched.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a long waiting list and an impossibly high price tag\u2026 and they divided people as they\u2019re a bit out there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The designer trainers are actually worth \u00a3525 \u2013 so Nicola made huge savings by shopping at the County Road<\/a> charity shop!<\/p>\n

She’s always been a fan of second-hand fashion and her latest experience has spurred her to continue looking for bargains.<\/p>\n

Nicola said: \u201cI\u2019m a big advocate for circular fashion. Fashion has always been important to me, and as I\u2019m getting older and understanding the impact that the industry has on the planet, I\u2019m trying to be more mindful in my purchases.<\/p>\n

\u201cI keep my wardrobe pretty minimal, try to avoid falling victim to micro trends and trust that what I like I can always find preloved. And it usually works out in the end.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite being thrilled with her find, the fashionista admits the shoes aren’t to everyone’s taste. She’s not letting this dull her excitement, though!<\/p>\n

Nicola added: \u201cEveryone who knows thinks they\u2019re hideous and that I\u2019ve lost my mind. But they are definitely an early Christmas present \u2013 I\u2019ve officially won the thrifting jackpot.\u201d<\/p>\n
