Hull City have no plans to recall Mason Burstow from his loan stint at League One promotion hopefuls Bolton Wanderers, according to Sergej Jakirovic.<\/p>\n
Burstow<\/a> is spending the season with the Trotters and has enjoyed himself in Lancashire with seven goals and two assists in 19 games so far for Steven Schumacher’s side, who sit sixth in League One.<\/p>\n Owing to Oli McBurnie missing the last eight games with a calf injury and Kyle Joseph struggling to find consistent goalscoring form, some fans had raised the question of in-form Burstow returning to the MKM Stadium in January to bolster City<\/a>‘s attacking ranks as they look to mount a play-off push in the second half of the season, especially given their restrictions in the transfer market.<\/p>\n Jakirovic, though, has ruled that out by saying the 22-year-old ex-Chelsea youngster is better suited to staying with Bolton and playing regularly, rather than sitting on the bench and becoming frustrated back at the MKM Stadium.<\/p>\n “Right now, no, because we have three strikers,” the City boss told Hull Live when asked if he was considering a January recall. “I think it’s good for him because he has rhythm there, he’s scoring the goals, confidence is very big, very high, and I’m very happy for him because he is satisfied.<\/p>\n “If you stay here, you don’t have minutes, then you will be disappointed, and that will be frustrating for him, so it’s better like this, and then we will see in the summer what will happen.”<\/p>\n Here at<\/strong> Hull Live<\/a> <\/strong>, we are dedicated to bringing you the best <\/strong>Hull City<\/a> <\/strong>coverage and analysis.
