Her comments about workload and family balance created a media storm, prompting questions from journalists throughout the opening week and sending transfer rumours into overdrive.

At the time, some commentators wondered whether the interviews were an attempt to apply pressure on management or a signal to other teams. Others questioned whether the Dane might be considering a switch after years of relentless racing and altitude blocks.

Vingegaard, however, has reiterated that he never saw it as an issue internally. “It wasn’t the very best timing. But I’m good at putting things aside and not thinking too much about them. As long as I know that it’s not something that affects us internally on the team, then I can put it aside, and it’s not a problem for me at all,” he told Ekstra Bladet.

Uno-X talk grows — but Vingegaard unmoved

Uno-X’s WorldTour promotion for 2026 reignited the discussion in Norway and Denmark. Hushovd, speaking to Dagbladet, downplayed the financial impossibility of signing a rider of Vingegaard’s calibre but acknowledged that any such move would depend entirely on timing.

“A Vingegaard wouldn’t cost more than our entire budget,” he joked. “He doesn’t earn that much. If something like that ever happened, it would have to be the right timing.”

The Scandinavian team’s structure, identity and long-term ambitions have naturally led to speculation that they might one day attempt to bring the region’s leading Grand Tour rider into yellow and red. But Vingegaard’s latest comments leave little doubt — a move is neither expected nor being contemplated.

The Dane now prepares for upcoming December and January training camps with Team Visma | Lease a Bike, continuing a partnership he says he is not looking to end. With contract security and team continuity on his side, his future remains firmly tied to the organisation he has called home for over half a decade.

“No, I can’t,” the Dane told Ekstra Bladet when asked whether he could imagine riding for another…

[4104
4230,31323,79,180916,28509,20680,182814,16,15,190274
0":"post-608016","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-cycling","8":"tag-cycling","9":"tag-jonas-vingegaard","10":"tag-sports","11":"tag-team-visma-lease-a-bike","12":"tag-thor-hushovd","13":"tag-tour-de-france","14":"tag-transfers-negotiations","15":"tag-uk","16":"tag-united-kingdom","17":"tag-uno-x-mobility
["GET
