{"id":608071,"date":"2025-12-02T20:05:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T20:05:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/608071\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T20:05:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T20:05:15","slug":"bristol-van-dwellers-have-nowhere-to-go-as-they-are-moved-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/608071\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol van dwellers &#8216;have nowhere to go&#8217; as they are moved on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Dave Knight, Jack&#8217;s dad, has lived in vans for five years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said he was surprised to learn that some people have been using the Downs &#8220;as a toilet&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;It&#8217;s totally unacceptable and I understand why the council want to move those people on,&#8221; Mr Knight said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;But, to move everybody on because of one or two people &#8211; if you had one or two people being anti-social on a street you wouldn&#8217;t move everyone out on that street, you&#8217;d find out who it was and rectify that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said moving the van dwellers will only move the problem elsewhere, for example into residential areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jack added: &#8220;There&#8217;s not really anywhere for me to go.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Dave Knight, Jack&#8217;s dad, has lived in vans for five years.
