The three-day event, aimed at all ages, celebrates &#8220;the power of stories to bring people closer together,\u201d and is being hosted by FACT and Heart of Glass.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">The weekend will kick off on Friday evening with Greta Gerwig\u2019s star-studded adaptation of Little Women (2019), and Saturday evening will see Liverpool actor Stephen Graham starring in Boiling Point (2021).<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">Matin\u00e9es will be shown on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, with animated family favourites Migration (2023) and Happy Feet (2006) sure to attract a full house.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">The schedule will conclude on Sunday evening with the Palme D\u2019Or-winning Shoplifters (2018), which follows the lives of a Tokyo family reliant on shoplifting to survive a life of poverty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">Tickets are on sale <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fact.co.uk\/season\/cinema-in-the-city-huyton\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">via the FACT website<\/a>, at a more affordable price than a typical entry for one of the major cinema chains. Adults (16+) can catch a screening for \u00a36, while a child\u2019s ticket (aged two to 15) is priced at \u00a33. Babies and CEA Card holders go free, and L36 residents are eligible for a half-price reduction. Tickets will be available on the door but the organisers encourage buying in advance to avoid disappointment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">The event in Huyton is the latest iteration of Cinema in the City, a programme coordinated by FACT which has previously held screenings in unlikely Liverpool locations such as the Cotton Exchange and Ullet Road Church.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">This time, FACT is teaming up with Heart of Glass, a community arts organisation based in Liverpool that originally started in <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/st-helens\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">St Helens<\/a>, known for its history as an important hub for glass production.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\" publication=\"liverpoolecho\">The organisation\u2019s mission is to unite people through art, giving underrepresented communities a voice with which to express their own creativity.<\/p>\n<p>Cinema in
