The incident happened in the city this morning during rush-hour traffic.<\/p>\n

Police have locked down<\/a> a road in Edinburgh after crash involving two HGV lorries and a bus.<\/p>\n

Officers<\/a> were alerted to the incident on Maybury Road in Edinburgh at around 8:15am on Tuesday, December 2.<\/p>\n

It is unclear at this stage of there were any injuries <\/a>as a result of the incident.<\/p>\n

The road has been closed in both directions<\/a> and locals are urged to avoid the area.<\/p>\n

An Eden Farm lorry is reported to have collided<\/a> with the back of the bus, causing the driver to lose control of his vehicle, and smash head-on with a Cancer Research lorry that was carrying used clothes.<\/p>\n

Images from the scene show all three vehicles <\/a>were badly damaged in the crash, which happened right beside a bus stop on the road.<\/p>\n

One shows the front of one of the lorries with its windscreen completely shattered<\/a> and the bumper of the vehicle hanging off as it sits on the pavement at the side of the road.<\/p>\n

Another captures the damage<\/a> to the bus, with a huge dent at the back of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

A third picture shows both lorries, with debris<\/a> scattered across the road, as a police car sits stationary at the scene.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Maybury Road in Edinburgh is currently closed in both directions following a crash which was reported around 8.15am on Tuesday, 2 December, 2025.<\/p>\n

“Members of the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.”<\/p>\n
