engineering works as a Christmas present, including Brixton (National Rail) Denmark Hill and Herne Hill stations being without trains for five days.<\/p>\n<p>From 27th to 31st December, there will be no trains at <strong>Brixton<\/strong> (National Rail \/ Southeastern), <strong>Denmark Hill<\/strong>, <strong>Herne Hill<\/strong> or <strong>West Dulwich<\/strong> stations.<\/p>\n<p><img \u2013 Brixton \u2013 Bromley South \u2013 Orpington<\/strong> line and the <strong>Victoria \u2013 Denmark Hill \u2013 Lewisham \u2013 Dartford<\/strong> line <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk\/news\/engineering-work-to-improve-kent-and-south-east-londons-railway-over-christmas-and-new-year-202526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">will not run,<\/a>\u00a0and the Overground Windrush Line will not run between <strong>Clapham Junction and Surrey Quays.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will also be no trains at <strong>Elephant and Castle<\/strong> or <strong>Loughborough Junction<\/strong> stations between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk\/news\/engineering-work-to-improve-kent-and-south-east-londons-railway-over-christmas-and-new-year-202526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">27th and 31st December<\/a>, as there will be no <strong>Thameslink trains<\/strong> between <strong>Blackfriars<\/strong> and Bellingham or Blackfriars and Sutton.<\/p>\n<p>Then between 1st and 4th January, there will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk\/news\/engineering-work-to-improve-sussex-and-south-londons-railway-over-christmas-and-new-year-202526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no Southern trains<\/a> between <strong>London Bridge<\/strong> and <strong>Tulse Hill<\/strong> via <strong>Peckham Rye<\/strong>, with no trains at <strong>East Dulwich<\/strong> or <strong>North Dulwich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>South Western Railway lines in to Waterloo via <strong>Vauxhall<\/strong> and <strong>Clapham Junction<\/strong> also have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.networkrailmediacentre.co.uk\/news\/christmas-2025-changes-to-train-services-at-london-waterloo-as-network-rail-carry-out-major-upgrades\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> major engineering work<\/a> from 27th December to 4th January, with<strong> Waterloo Station<\/strong> closed on 27th and 28th December, <strong>Queenstown Road<\/strong> closed through this work, and <strong>Vauxhall<\/strong> closed most days.<\/p>\n<p>There will be an altered \/ reduced service from 29 December to 4 January.<\/p>\n<p>This is for a major track replacement project around <strong>Queenstown Road Station.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After New Year,<strong> Charing Cross<\/strong> and <strong>Waterloo East<\/strong> will be closed from 1 to 4 January, with <strong>Cannon Street<\/strong> closed as well on 1 and 4 January, and trains in South East London will be diverted or cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>For all of these, there is a mix of rail replacement buses and ticket acceptance on TFL bus and Underground services \u2013 see individual train companies\u2019 websites for more information.<\/p>\n<p>Away from London, major railway closures over the holiday period include the West Coast Main Line between Milton Keynes and Northampton \/ Rugby, lines from Liverpool Street in to Essex and East Anglia, and lines around Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p>National Rail Enquiries has more \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/travel-information\/christmas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nationalrail.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Christmas Day &amp; Boxing Day<\/p>\n<p>Almost all of London\u2019s public transport services will be closed on <strong>Christmas Day<\/strong>, most national rail lines will be closed on<strong> Boxing Day<\/strong>, and there will be altered services across the Christmas and New Year period \u2013 we will have more information on these when details are available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> This information is
