This is almost twice as many as on a typical day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen millions of gifts are ordered, we make sure they arrive on time. We\u2019re proud that in these moments we do more than logistics \u2013 we contribute to happy memories and bringing people together,\u201d said Nikola Hagleitner, CEO of Post &amp; Parcel Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe sincerely thank our employees for their outstanding commitment during this intense and demanding period.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DHL also said it expects this week to be the busiest this year for international deliveries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently, DHL eCommerce, which provides cross-border and domestic e-commerce deliveries for businesses in Europe, Asia and the USA, and DHL Express both handled more parcels than on a normal day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe peak season is here and it\u2019s undoubtedly the busiest time of the year for DHL Group,\u201d commented Pablo Ciano, CEO of DHL eCommerce. \u201cAcross our DHL eCommerce network, thousands of people are stepping up to keep things moving. We will handle more than 14 million shipments on the busiest day, which is 60% more than an average day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, DHL Express handled around 20% more international shipments between Thanksgiving on 27 November and Cyber Monday on 1 December.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.logisticsmanager.com\/fedex-research-predicts-better-holiday-sales-in-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">research from FedEx<\/a> revealed that 88% of small businesses operating in Europe see events such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday as important to their sales.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"In Germany, DHL has set a record for the number of parcels sorted within 24 hours.
