{"id":609527,"date":"2025-12-03T12:43:17","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/609527\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T12:43:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:43:17","slug":"zelenskyy-says-ukraine-preparing-for-next-round-of-talks-with-trumps-envoys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/609527\/","title":{"rendered":"Zelenskyy says Ukraine preparing for next round of talks with Trump&#8217;s envoys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISTANBUL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Wednesday that Kyiv\u2019s negotiating team will begin preparing for a meeting with envoys of US President Donald Trump following consultations with European leaders in Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Zelenskyy said Ukrainian officials, led by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, will brief European capitals on \u201cwhat is known following yesterday\u2019s contacts by the American side in Moscow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will also discuss the European component of the necessary security architecture,\u201d he said, adding: \u201cThis is our ongoing coordination with partners, and we ensure that the negotiation process is fully active.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Umerov and senior Ukrainian advisors are set to meet their European counterparts in Brussels later Wednesday before holding a follow-up session with the US delegation on efforts to reach a peace agreement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Russia, US contact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong\/>US envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump&#8217;s son-in-law Jared Kushner are expected to meet Zelenskyy after holding talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p>Kirill Dmitriev, Putin\u2019s envoy who took part in the discussions, described the meeting as \u201cproductive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov similarly said the talks were \u201cconstructive, very useful, and informative,\u201d noting that negotiations \u201cthoroughly\u201d covered potential settlement options over a five-hour session.<\/p>\n<p>Ushakov said there is \u201cno compromise plan for Ukraine yet\u201d but added that Moscow considered some elements of the revised US proposal acceptable while rejecting others.<\/p>\n<p>He said Putin conveyed that Russia \u201ccould agree to some aspects of the US plan, but others were criticized.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The US draft, originally a 28-point proposal, has been narrowed during recent discussions with Kyiv, focusing primarily on setting a de facto border under a potential ceasefire.<\/p>\n<p>                            &#13;<br \/>\n                                <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aa.com.tr\/en\/p\/subscription\/1001\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"font-size:12px;
