{"id":610003,"date":"2025-12-03T18:00:22","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/610003\/"},"modified":"2025-12-03T18:00:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T18:00:22","slug":"its-official-scott-will-supply-bikes-to-nsn-cycling-as-factor-drops-troubled-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/610003\/","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s official, Scott will supply bikes to NSN Cycling as Factor drops troubled team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following rumours that began circulating in November, Scott confirmed today that it will supply bikes to NSN Cycling Team as part of a multi-year sponsorship deal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The deal is part of NSN Cycling Team\u2019s \u201cexciting new era\u201d, according to Scott, which follows its troubled period as Israel\u2013Premier Tech and the November announcement that NSN and Stoneweg had taken over the team.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Previous bicycle supplier Factor was rumoured to have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/factor-to-leave-israel-premier-tech\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">left Israel\u2013Premier Tech<\/a> after Scott arrived at the team\u2019s service course in Girona last month. Scott\u2019s announcement today confirms the switch in bicycle suppliers for NSN Cycling Team, and its return to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/features\/pro-bike\/worldtour-bikes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordTour<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a privilege to support NSN Cycling Team and a roster of athletes, staff and sponsors united in their ambition and pursuit of excellence,\u201d said Pascal Ducrot, co-CEO of Scott. \u201cWith our long racing heritage, we celebrate Scott\u2019s return to the UCI WorldTour with the team, where our world-class products will support these talented athletes to perform on the sport\u2019s biggest stages.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1599\" height=\"1066\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Scott-NSN-Cycling-Team.jpg\" alt=\"The NSN Cycling Team on Scott Bikes.\" class=\"wp-image-951293\"\/>The NSN Cycling Team will ride Scott Bikes. Chris Auld \/ NSN Cycling Team<\/p>\n<p>As well as gaining a WorldTour license, NSN Cycling Team\u2019s ambition is evident in its signing of sprinter Biniam Girmay on a three-year contract through to 2028. The team said signing the 25-year-old Eritrean signals its \u201ccommitment to winning\u201d and that it would add depth to the team\u2019s roster of \u201cyoung and ambitious riders\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The sponsorship deal also keeps Scott Bikes in the men\u2019s pro peloton, after Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team announced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/ineos-grenadiers-2026-bike-sponsor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">partnership with Pinarello<\/a>, which will now provide Tom Pidcock with bikes for his on- and off-road racing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Israel\u2013Premier Tech rebranded as NSN Cycling Team in November with the international sports and entertainment company NSN (Never Say Never) and Stoneweg, a global investment platform based in Geneva, Switzerland, entering a \u201cjoint venture\u201d to take over the team. NSN Cycling Team will now race under a Swiss licence with a base in Spain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The change in ownership, name and racing licence followed a season where Israel\u2013Premier Tech\u2019s affiliation with Israel came under great scrutiny in light of Israel\u2019s war on Gaza. This culminated in protests at the Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a, where several stages were cut short, and demonstrators labelled the team\u2019s participation as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/pro-palestine-organisers-explain-why-theyre-disrupting-la-vuelta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sportswashing<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of this pressure, sponsors Premier Tech and Factor Bikes said Israel\u2013Premier Tech must change its name and end its affiliation with Israel for their sponsorship to continue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But despite the team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bikeradar.com\/news\/israel-premier-tech-will-change-its-name\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agreeing<\/a> to do this in October, Premier Tech still left the team in November.
