Kelly Osbourne today shared the very Brummie thing that has become a Christmas<\/a> tradition for her young family.<\/p>\n

The star, 41, was in birmingham<\/a> -city-centre>Birmingham city centre<\/a> to receive the Lord Mayor’s Award on behalf of her late father Ozzy, who would have been 77 today, Wednesday, December 3.<\/p>\n

Speaking to BirminghamLive in the Council House office of The Lord Mayor, Coun Zafar Iqbal, Kelly said that she had been taking her son Sidney, 3, to Birmingham’s Christmas Markets.<\/p>\n

Aside from when he was a month old, Kelly has taken the son she shares with Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson to Birmingham’s festive huts every Christmas since he’s been born.<\/p>\n

Kelly said: “We have our little traditions \u2013 I wait until it’s night time and I go to the bench, and I do a bit of shopping at Selfridges with my mum.<\/p>\n

“Now the Christmas Markets are here, it’s lovely to take my son around, showing him the city.<\/p>\n

“This will be his second year of doing that so it’s really important to me.”<\/p>\n

Kelly brought Sidney to the Black Sabbath Bench on Broad Street<\/a> the day before Ozzy’s funeral, stopping alongside her dad’s coffin to lay flowers with her son among the tributes.<\/p>\n

Kelly got engaged to Sid Wilson on the same day as her father’s Back To The Beginning show at Villa Park Stadium<\/a> on July 5.<\/p>\n

Ozzy died on July 22.<\/p>\n

Kelly said that it’s Brummies that have sustained her family through their grieving period.<\/p>\n

“The people of Birmingham have helped me through this time more than I can put into words and I’m so grateful for every letter of condolence,” Kelly said.<\/p>\n

“I’ve had letters from all over the world, people reaching out to me who are going through what I\u2019m going through, losing their father.<\/p>\n

“When you’re able to connect and share what you’re going through with someone else, even if you don’t know them, it helps.<\/p>\n

“The outpouring of love has really, really helped.”<\/p>\n
