Arne Slot is keen to make further changes to his first-team squad at Liverpool amid ongoing sack pressure after after a wretched start to the season<\/strong>.<\/p>\n That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown<\/a>, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider<\/strong> that the boss is calling for further investment in his Liverpool squad.<\/p>\n Liverpool drew 1-1 with Sunderland<\/a> at Anfield last time out, and have now won just two of their last nine Premier League games, leading to calls for the manager\u2019s head.<\/p>\n As a result of their string of underwhelming displays, there are key areas of the squad that Slot<\/a> would still like to improve as he targets the January transfer window.<\/p>\n This comes despite Brown warning Football Insider<\/strong> that Slot\u2019s squad overhaul has led to Liverpool\u2019s struggles<\/a> as it has disrupted the togetherness in the side.<\/p>\n Liverpool spent a record-breaking \u00a3446.5million<\/a> during the summer transfer window, including huge deals for the likes of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz.<\/p>\n Brown, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted that Slot is not content with his squad in its current form and hopes to add to it positions he still feels they could strengthen in, despite all the money they spent in the summer, because they haven\u2019t been good enough recently.<\/p>\n \u201cHe wants to add another centre-half to his squad, that\u2019s no surprise to anybody.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you look through this Liverpool squad, there are still three or four positions where you feel they could strengthen, and it seems the manager feels the same.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cA centre-back is one, then are their full-backs good enough, then a midfielder, Salah hasn\u2019t been performing so maybe a forward, there are a lot of problems there.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a massive window for them in the summer, and it could be another in January because there are a few question marks still around this squad.\u201d<\/p>\n Liverpool set sights on two Premier League stars in January<\/p>\n As they step up preparations for next month\u2019s transfer window, Liverpool have already set their sights on both Marc Guehi and Antoine Semenyo to add to their squad.<\/p>\n Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 21 November that Liverpool could accelerate their move for Guehi<\/a> in an effort to beat European rivals to his highly-coveted signature.<\/p>\n The Reds missed out of signing the Crystal Palace<\/a> captain during the summer, and now the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have joined the race for Guehi<\/a> in recent weeks.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Football Insider<\/strong> revealed on 2 December that Liverpool are leading the race for Semenyo<\/a>, ahead of the likes of Man City and Tottenham.<\/p>\n The
