Valerien Ismael\u2019s Blackburn drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town<\/a> last time out and now sit in 18th place of the table after a run of one defeat in four, whereas the Owls have lost their last four, with Preston coming from behind to beat Wednesday 3-2<\/a> last time out.<\/p>\n

Last season, Rovers drew with SWFC 2-2 at Ewood Park and actually picked up a 1-0 win away at Hillsborough. Wednesday won the three meetings before with their last win at Ewood Park coming in 2024. The last time Rovers beat SWFC on home soil was in 2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cBlackburn Rovers<\/a> won\u2019t get a much better chance to get a vital home win under their belt. They were hard done by against Ipswich Town<\/a>, but they have to put that behind them and go again here.<\/p>\n

\u201cSheffield Wednesday<\/a> are doomed; there\u2019s no point in dressing it up. Their latest points deduction means they\u2019re destined for League One, so Henrik Pedersen has a tough task on his hands keeping them fighting on the pitch.<\/p>\n

Henrik Pedersen\u2019s side haven\u2019t been convincing of late but with players coming back from injury over the festive period, there\u2019s hope for a better second half of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cRovers seem to be shoring up somewhat and come into this game on the back of a decent result. With Wednesday\u2019s disappointing defeat against Preston<\/a> still fresh in the Owls\u2019 mind, expect Blackburn to view this game as an absolute must-win in their own fight against relegation.<\/p>\n
