Noussair Mazraoui blasted Manchester United’s inconsistency after drawing with West Ham in the Premier League, and he admitted football is regularly becoming “frustrating” at Old Trafford<\/a>. United had the opportunity to climb to fifth in the table against West Ham<\/a>, and the Reds looked on course to record back-to-back wins in the league.<\/p>\n

Diogo Dalot scored at the Stretford<\/a> End in the 58th minute to break the deadlock, but West Ham salvaged a point thanks to a late goal from midfielder Soungoutou Magassa. Mazraoui was visibly disappointed as he began his post-match interview with MUTV<\/a>. He was asked, “Nouss, sometimes football is frustrating, isn’t it?” and responded: “Yep, it’s more than sometimes now.”<\/p>\n

After that blunt response, Mazraoui slammed United’s failure to climb up the table due to their inconsistency, saying: “I think up to the 1-0, we really wanted to win the game and you saw that in everything. We were looking for the goal, a goal came and then we went looking for the second, but it didn’t come.<\/p>\n

“Then you see a little drop in energy and that costs you really badly. We know in set-pieces every Premier League<\/a> team is really strong and if you lose one moment focus, these kind of things happen.<\/p>\n

“It’s really frustrating. It’s frustrating because we get opportunities to climb the table, that’s what we want, to be in a good spot for ourselves, for the club, and we’ve not been there for a long time now.<\/p>\n

“And we disappoint ourselves, the club and the fans – everyone, basically. We don’t make use of these opportunities. They keep coming, but if we don’t take them at one point, you’re going to struggle a lot.<\/p>\n

“It’s hard to find some positives after a draw. It feels like a defeat because you just lost two points here at home for the second time in a row, so it feels really tough.”<\/p>\n
