A warning for potential flooding in parts of Wales has been issued by Welsh weatherman Derek Brockway(Image: Met Office )<\/p>\n
Welsh weatherman Derek Brockway has warned that more rain is on its way which may result in flooding for some parts of Wales. The news comes days after the Met Office issued amber and yellow warnings for rain over large areas of the country, which resulted in many roads being flooded in North Wales.<\/a><\/p>\n The recent forecast from Derek states that more rain this weekend could result in surface water and river flooding, particularly in South Wales and Powys. There is an additional risk of flooding in southern and western coastal areas during high tide, he said.<\/p>\n Sharing the update on X, he said: “Turning milder but wetter and much windier today. More rain and showers over the weekend. Saturday night calmer and drier for a while! Surface water and localised river flooding especially in SW Wales and Powys. Small chance of some brighter breaks. Mild for the time of year but with a brisk wind ongoing. Maximum temperature 12\u00b0C.”<\/p>\n The Met Office outlook from Sunday to Tuesday in Wales states: “Early rain on Sunday clearing to brighter spells. Dry for most of Monday but with a notably wet and windy spell possible overnight into Tuesday. Mild but often breezy.”<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n The UK long range weather forecast from Wednesday, December 10 until Friday, December 19 states: “A short spell of mainly settled weather<\/a> is expected for the first couple of days of this period, with any rain or showers in the far north or west, and the rest of the UK mainly dry.<\/p>\n “Thereafter, low pressure systems will tend to dominate, bringing showers or longer spells of rain to much of the UK.
