\nauthorities\u2019 discovery of illegal goods for sale. The suspension
\nwill last at least three months, while Shein\u2019s main website remains
\nfully accessible, Azernews<\/strong> reports.<\/p>\n

French authorities stated that the temporary closure is
\nnecessary for Shein to demonstrate compliance with the law. A court
\nwill ultimately determine whether the suspension is justified and
\nwhether it aligns with European Union regulations.<\/p>\n

The move comes amid heightened scrutiny of Chinese e-commerce
\ngiants, including Shein and Temu, under the EU Digital Services
\nAct, reflecting growing concerns over consumer safety, illegal
\nproduct sales, and potential unfair competition.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Texas Attorney General Ken
\nPaxton announced on Monday that his office is investigating Shein\u2019s
\nU.S. operations. The probe will examine whether the fast fashion
\nretailer violated state laws regarding unethical labor practices
\nand the sale of unsafe consumer goods.<\/p>\n

Analysts note that these legal pressures highlight the broader
\nchallenges facing global fast fashion platforms, which must balance
\nrapid expansion with regulatory compliance and consumer trust. Some
\nexperts predict that actions in France and the U.S. could serve as
\na precedent, potentially influencing how other countries enforce
\ne-commerce regulations on international marketplaces.<\/p>\n
