{"id":615224,"date":"2025-12-06T04:46:25","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T04:46:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/615224\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T04:46:25","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T04:46:25","slug":"immersive-exhibitions-are-reshaping-the-cultural-landscape-and-londons-oldest-institutions-are-joining-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/615224\/","title":{"rendered":"Immersive exhibitions are reshaping the cultural landscape &#8211; and London\u2019s oldest institutions are joining in"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Immersive exhibitions, characterised by interactive approaches to art and storytelling, are rapidly transforming London\u2019s cultural scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>New venues like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outernet.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Outernet<\/a> in Charing Cross and <a href=\"https:\/\/frameless.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Frameless<\/a> in Marble Arch allow visitors to explore iconic works of art like never before, even with a drink in hand.<\/p>\n<p>And they\u2019re becoming more popular than even London\u2019s most archaic museums and galleries \u2013 with Outernet welcoming 6.25 million visitors in its first year, more than anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>But the trend isn\u2019t limited to contemporary spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Historic institutions are getting involved too, with the Natural History Museum\u2019s latest exhibition, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhm.ac.uk\/visit\/exhibitions\/our-story-with-david-attenborough.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Our Story<\/a>, narrated by David Attenborough, using immersive technology to engage visitors who might not traditionally visit and bring the natural world to life.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Wright, Head of Commercial Projects at the Natural History Museum, said: \u201cOur Story has helped bring in new audiences and people who have previously felt that a museum might not be for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s helping to challenge some of those pre-conceptions and by breaking those boundaries hopefully we can teach as broad an audience as possible about the wonder of the natural world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Watch the full video below.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Immersive exhibitions, characterised by interactive approaches to art and storytelling, are rapidly transforming London\u2019s cultural scene.
