{"id":615604,"date":"2025-12-06T09:07:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T09:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/615604\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T09:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T09:07:13","slug":"naira-depreciates-to-lowest-against-us-dollar-in-two-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/615604\/","title":{"rendered":"Naira depreciates to lowest against US dollar in two months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The naira slid to its weakest level in two months on Friday, closing the week on a downward trajectory against the US dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed the currency declined to N1,450.43 per dollar, compared to N1,447.83 on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>This means that the naira weakened further against the dollar by N2.59 on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, at the black market, the naira ended the week at N1,475 per dollar on Friday, the same rate recorded since Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST reports that the naira appreciated only on Tuesday in the week under review.
