Lewis Hall was not named in Eddie Howe’s starting XI for the home clash with Burnley at St James’ Park.<\/p>\n

The England international has only just returned from a hamstring problem and eyebrows were raised by some supporters when the team sheets dropped this afternoon. But Hall’s<\/a> bench role is merely down to an illness the left-back has suffered this week.<\/p>\n

Eddie Howe made six changes to the team that drew 2-2 with Tottenham<\/a> Hotspur in midweek. Hall was replaced at left-back by Dan Burn with Fabian Schar coming back into the heart of the Newcastle<\/a> defence.<\/p>\n

Howe named Joe Willock in his midfield three while Jacob Ramsey also got a start with Sandro Tonali was only fit enough for a spot on the bench after a knock against Spurs. Bruno Guimaraes started the game and captained the team once again.<\/p>\n

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports<\/a> bundle for the 2025\/26 season, saving members \u00a3336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.<\/p>\n

Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.<\/p>\n

In attack Anthony Elanga, Anthony Gordon and Nick Woltemade were the front three while Yoane Wissa was back from a knee injury to take a place on the bench.<\/p>\n

Speaking about Wissa’s return to fitness, Howe said: “With the way the season’s gone, his priority was concentrating purely on his fitness and no other distractions for him to get back fit.<\/p>\n

“He’s looked good, we saw all the qualities we saw at Brentford. His movement’s been good, he’s quick, he’s sharp, he has a low centre of gravity and the relationships will look good with the other players.<\/p>\n

“A bit like Lewy Hall he’s come back and had cramp a couple of times. Ideally we would’ve given him longer to recover but we don’t have that luxury.”<\/p>\n
