{"id":616758,"date":"2025-12-06T22:23:24","date_gmt":"2025-12-06T22:23:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/616758\/"},"modified":"2025-12-06T22:23:24","modified_gmt":"2025-12-06T22:23:24","slug":"caledonia-gladiators-launches-most-exclusive-seat-in-scottish-sport-aid-of-glasgow-childrens-hospital-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/616758\/","title":{"rendered":"Caledonia Gladiators launches \u2018most exclusive seat in Scottish sport\u2019 aid of Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t\t\t\t\tCaledonia Gladiators launches \u2018most exclusive seat in Scottish sport\u2019 aid of Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scotland\u2019s basketball franchise Caledonia Gladiators is to launch a unique new VIP experience \u2013 thought to be the most exclusive sporting seat in the country \u2013 in aid of charity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Costing \u00a31000 per person, the extraordinary tickets give basketball fans the chance to experience the game like no other with a courtside box, a personal butler on hand and an overnight stay at the nearby luxury Crossbasket Castle with transport arranged between the venues.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ticket package has been created to raise money that will fund the best possible care for young patients at Glasgow\u2019s Children\u2019s Hospital Charity \u2013 the club\u2019s charity partner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With hospitality packages typically costing around \u00a3500 for the most premium seats at major Scottish football games, Caledonia Gladiators has endeavoured to go further, providing exclusive meet and greets with players, chilled champagne while watching the game and a meal at Crossbasket Castle\u2019s entertainment-led dining experience, Trocadero\u2019s. With two tickets available, to be sold as a pair, the package also boasts bottomless popcorn, access to the club lounge with hospitality throughout the experience, a framed photo with players and Caledonia Gladiators merch.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-46451 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/DSF3662-min-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\"  \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The package has been styled on the NBA experience, which regularly attracts the celebrity elite and prominent figures in America.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Slam Dunk Package will be available on any men\u2019s or women\u2019s game within the 2025\/26 season, which runs until May.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Steve Timoney, owner of Caledonia Gladiators, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe work of Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity is quite frankly incredible, and completely invaluable to the thousands of families it supports throughout Scotland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our new Slam Dunk package will give our supporters the chance to get the extra VIP treatment, experiencing the game like never before, and all in the name of an excellent cause.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selling these seats will go a long way to improving the care of young patients in Glasgow, and we hope our supporters or wider sports fans will dig deep in aid of Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>William McGowan-Smith, Head of Partnerships at the Charity, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cCaledonia Gladiators have once again taken their generous support to the next level with this incredible experience. The Gladiators\u2019 commitment to our young patients is truly heartfelt, and we can\u2019t thank them enough for their continued support.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity is the official charity partner of Caledonia Gladiators, with the club raising funds throughout the season to help provide the very best care possible for children across Scotland. For every \u00a31,000 raised through the package, Glasgow Children\u2019s Hospital Charity could fund play, fun and laughter with a dedicated Play Specialist for children living in hospital, or provide emotional and financial support for families with a child in hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steve and Alison Timoney, owners of the basketball franchise, have been avid supporters of the charity for many years, making the partnership one that is close to the hearts of all at the club. After making the largest ever donation to the charity\u2019s dedicated accommodation for families, the onsite housing was aptly named Crossbasket House after the couple\u2019s five-star hotel, Crossbasket Castle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caledonia Gladiators is Scotland\u2019s only professional basketball franchise. In February 2025, its women\u2019s team became the first Scottish women\u2019s basketball team to ever win a major trophy at the Super League Basketball Trophy Final.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The major achievement comes just under two years after the club\u2019s men\u2019s team won the franchise\u2019s first silverware in twenty years when they defeated the Cheshire Phoenix 73-70 to win the then BBL Trophy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Caledonia Gladiators play within their home Arena in East Kilbride, with the season running until May 2026.
