A Liverpool restaurant was among a number of businesses fined for illegal working, according to government data. Elif Turkish BBQ Restaurant, which has sites in Childwall<\/a>, on Lark Lane and on Bold Street in Liverpool city centre<\/a>, has been fined \u00a330,000.<\/p>\n The latest government data covers July 1 to September 30, 2024 and shows that other Liverpool businesses fined include car washes, takeaways and a convenience store. The government website states: “This quarterly report lists employers in the UK that have received fines (civil penalties) for illegal working.<\/p>\n “The report lists fines given to employers who have not paid or are not making regular payments towards a penalty 28 days after they have exhausted all their objection and\/or appeal rights.”<\/p>\n It also includes: “Employers who have been served with a second or further penalty once they have exhausted all their objection and\/or appeal rights regardless of whether any payment has been made.”<\/p>\n Other businesses in Liverpool to be fined were:<\/p>\n Best Hand Car Wash – New Best Valeting Centre Ltd, 330 Prescot<\/a> Road, Liverpool, L13 3AP – \u00a340,000.00<\/p>\n Namma Ooru Dosa – Mila\u2019s Home Foods Ltd, 138 Mill Lane, Liverpool, L13 4AH – \u00a380,000.00<\/p>\n Quality Hand Car Wash – Quality UK Car Wash Ltd, Childwall Valley Service Station, Childwall Valley Road, Liverpool, L25 2PL – \u00a330,000.00<\/p>\n Quality Hand Car Wash – Belle Vale Car Wash Ltd, Childwall Valley Road, Liverpool, L25 2RJ – \u00a345,000.00<\/p>\n Chesters Chicken – Saru (NW) Ltd, Childwall Valley Road, Liverpool, L25 2RJ – \u00a310,000.00<\/p>\n Go Local Extra – Freshways Hatton Gardens Ltd, Victoria Hall, 29 Hatton Garden, Liverpool, L3 2EZ – \u00a340,000.00<\/p>\n The Original Famous Blue Star, 1 Stopgate Lane, Liverpool, L9 6AN \u00a330,000.00<\/p>\n The ECHO<\/a> approached Elif for comment.
