As the car industry starts to capitalize on the brainpower of artificial intelligence, one man has shown how effective the Google Gemini AI assistant can be, even for an oil change. <\/p>\n

With car maintenance costs at an all-time high, more people have started experimenting with DIY fixes. <\/p>\n

But when the jobs get too hard, there\u2019s still a need for more well-versed and greased-up hands.<\/p>\n

Luckily, Google Gemini AI appears to be quite the grease monkey when it comes to oil changes.<\/p>\n

How drivers are using Google Gemini AI <\/p>\n

With AI now able to (almost) fly planes like the Airbus A320, people have begun turning to the bots for help with their everyday car issues<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Google Gemini AI specifically has become a specialist automotive assistant.<\/p>\n

Fresh off the back of securing a billion-dollar deal to slip into every Apple CarPlay-supported vehicle<\/a> by taking over from Siri, Gemini AI is now stepping out of the dash and into the garage.<\/p>\n

In a new video titled \u2018Google\u2019s AI is actually scary smart\u2019 on TikTok<\/a>, the virtual assistant successfully uses its camera feature to guide user \u2018thebigbazzy\u2019 through an oil change. <\/p>\n

How Gemini helped to perform an oil change<\/p>\n

With a 2009 BMW 335I as the guinea pig, the TikTok creator asked Gemini AI to perform an oil change<\/a>. <\/p>\n

To start with, the AI made sure he had the right tools and oil. <\/p>\n

Using the camera, the Google bot identified how to drain the car by removing the cap, accessing the oil drain plug by lifting the car on a two-post, organizing a drain pan, and beginning the stream of the old fuel.<\/p>\n

Then, it identified the right torque tools to screw the drain plug washer in, and talked the man through how to replace the filter.<\/p>\n

Finally, it revealed the maximum capacity for the oil levels and, given there is no dipstick for the BMW, explained how to check the levels digitally.<\/p>\n

All in all, the oil change was performed perfectly.<\/p>\n
