Legendary former Leeds United goalkeeper Nigel Martyn has singled out one unsung hero in the dramatic draw with Liverpool. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Daniel Farke<\/a> changed the momentum of the game against Liverpool with his inspired substitutions, as Leeds fought back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to secure a 3-3 draw.<\/p>\n

Despite Leeds\u2019 thrilling comeback, the game could still have evaded Farke\u2019s side, as they climbed up to 16th in the Premier League<\/a> table <\/p>\n

Liverpool had several good chances to put the game to bed, and Leeds goalkeeper Lucas Perri<\/a> pulled off two good saves to keep his side in the game. <\/p>\n

Now, Perri has been praised by Leeds legend Nigel Martyn<\/a>, as the Brazilian helped Leeds secure another precious Premier League point. <\/p>\n

Nigel Martyn praises Leeds United goalkeeper Lucas Perri<\/p>\n

Speaking to LUTV<\/a> after Leeds\u2019 dramatic draw against Liverpool, Martyn singled out Perri for his contribution to the hard-earned point. <\/p>\n

According to Martyn, Perri\u2019s shot-stopping ability is one of his main strengths, and he showed that he is beginning to find his feet in the top-flight in the game against Liverpool. <\/p>\n

Martyn said: \u201cHe made two really good saves, didn\u2019t he, in the second half here, one to his left, one to his right. So, you know, he\u2019s obviously showing he\u2019s strong on both sides, and they were vital.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he doesn\u2019t make those saves, you\u2019re not going to get a point out of this game; it would have been a loss. So he can hold his head up and say, okay, I\u2019ve conceded three, but I\u2019ve still made a couple of really important saves in this second half that have kept the team in it and enabled that comeback.<\/p>\n

Before adding: \u201cHe\u2019s a big guy, he\u2019s going to cover a lot of the goals. So when he\u2019s asked to go full length, he\u2019s going to make good saves. That\u2019s a given, really, with the size and his agility that he\u2019s got there.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s settling in. It is a new club, you know, it\u2019s a new country. Everything, he\u2019s got to settle in and just, you know, work his way through and get used to playing this Premier League football.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Lyon player has endured a rocky start to life with Leeds, with Perri receiving criticism for his poor distribution<\/a> and high-profile mistakes.<\/p>\n

However, there are signs that Perri is beginning to find his feet at Elland Road, having played his part in three vastly improved performances. <\/p>\n

Perri\u2019s display against Liverpool was arguably his best to date in a Leeds shirt, as the FBRef<\/a> stats from the game show. <\/p>\n

The Brazilian made four saves, including two impressive diving stops, as he faced a combined post-shot expected goals tally of 3.1. Perri has only made more saves once this season, in the 3-2 defeat against Manchester City, as he continues to improve in a Leeds shirt. <\/p>\n
