Three men and a boy have been charged after a teenage girl was allegedly raped in Bristol.<\/p>\n
The incident was initially reported to police on Sunday, November 30, and two 16-year-old boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were arrested at the scene.<\/p>\n
It was alleged the teenager had been raped the previous night inside a residential property in the St Werburghs area of the city.<\/p>\n
The teenage boys were released on conditional bail while enquiries were ongoing, but one was rearrested on Thursday, December 4.<\/p>\n
Three men were arrested last week as part of an investigation by Avon and Somerset Constabulary’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offences team, named Operation Bluestone.<\/p>\n
The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised charges against the three men and one of the 16-year-old boys.<\/p>\n
A 20-year-old man, who cannot be named, has been charged with two counts of rape and arranging or facilitating the travel of a female with a view to exploitation.<\/p>\n
Salman Habibkheil, 18, of Lockleaze, has been charged with rape and arranging or facilitating the travel of a female with a view to exploitation.<\/p>\n
Awal Amadzai, 18, of Redcliffe, has been charged with rape and sexual assault.<\/p>\n
And a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, has been charged with rape.<\/p>\n
All four appeared at Bristol Magistrates\u2019 Court on Saturday, December 6. They were remanded to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday, January 7.<\/p>\n
Bristol acting superintendent Keith Smith said: \u201cThere has been a thorough investigation completed over the past week following the disclosure of these offences.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are incredibly serious and we have worked quickly to establish the circumstances, and ensure safeguarding measures are in place for the victim.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are making sure she is receiving all the support she needs and we will continue to keep her and her family updated as the court process progresses.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re continuing to work hard to tackle exploitation across Avon and Somerset and wherever these offences are identified, we will take swift and strong action through our specialist investigation teams.\u201d<\/p>\n
