Lyndon Dykes has suggested a lack of game time at Birmingham City<\/a> is giving him food for thought ahead of the World Cup.<\/p>\n Scotland have qualified for next summer\u2019s World Cup and 48-cap Dykes<\/a> played an important role for his country.<\/p>\n The 30-year-old striker is expected to form part of Steve Clarke\u2019s squad next summer, irrespective of whether his situation at Blues changes.<\/p>\n Dykes has been used as an impact substitute by Blues boss Chris Davies<\/a> throughout the last 18 months but it hasn\u2019t affected his international involvement.<\/p>\n Hibernian tried to sign Dykes in the summer and his future is up for discussion again ahead of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n Speaking to BBC 5 Live,<\/a> Dykes said: \u201cI want to be playing games consistently, as much as I can. We’re doing really well here at Birmingham<\/a> and it’s been a tough season with the limited game time that I’ve got.<\/p>\n \u201cWe’ll see what happens. There’s still a few months until we can start thinking about international football or the World Cup but at the end of the day I do want to be playing, I want to be as fit as I can be going into these games.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s going to be an exciting few months. I’m going to be doing extras in the gym to make sure I’m at top fitness.\u201d<\/p>\n Scotland have been drawn in Group C with Brazil, Morocco and Haiti for the tournament that will be held in the United States.<\/p>\n Blues investor Tom Brady took part in the draw and Dykes had a request for the seven-time Super Bowl winner beforehand.<\/p>\n \u201cI spoke to Tom Brady and I was telling him to make sure he put us in a good group and funnily enough he put us in with Brazil,\u201d said Dykes.<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s a tough draw. We’ve got massive teams in there but I don’t think it’s something to shy away from.
