A FIVE-STAR Scots campsite has scooped a huge UK award.<\/p>\n

The holiday park, situated on the outskirts of Edinburgh<\/a>, bagged the top gong at a glittering ceremony held in London. <\/p>\n

Drummohr Camping<\/a> and Glamping<\/a> Site in Musselburgh, East Lothian, was crowned the UK<\/a>\u2018s most dog-friendly campsite at this year\u2019s DogFriendly Awards<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The awards, voted for by the public, give dog owners the chance to recognise the best dog-friendly spots and pet-related businesses in the UK. <\/p>\n

Drummohr was named alongside its sister sites in Longnor Wood Holiday Park in the Peak District and Herding Hill Farm in Northumberland<\/a>. <\/p>\n

And the park is no stranger to gongs. <\/p>\n

We told previously how it was named Campsite of the Year in June.<\/a><\/p>\n

Set on the picturesque shores of the Firth of Forth just 10 miles outside of Edinburgh, Drummohr is a five-star rated AA and VisitScotland site.<\/p>\n

It offers self-catering luxury<\/a> lodges with hot tubs, glamping pods and ensuite bothies.<\/p>\n

It boasts its own scenic dog walk, a dog wash and pet-friendly accomodation.<\/p>\n

Up to two\u00a0dogs\u00a0are welcome in the tent and touring pitches free of charge.<\/p>\n

There are also grass and hard-standing pitches for touring\u00a0caravans<\/a>,\u00a0motorhomes<\/a>\u00a0and tents, all with electric hook-ups.<\/p>\n

And there are themed wizard, adventure and fairy glaming pods as well as\u00a0family<\/a>\u00a0bothies and a large playground perfect for\u00a0kids.<\/p>\n

Angie Purves, site manager at Drummohr, said: \u201cWe\u2019re absolutely delighted to be recognised for our commitment to creating a fantastic destination for dog owners and their pets.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that this award is voted for by the public and shared jointly across WCF\u2019s three sites makes it even more special.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe take pride in going the extra mile by offering dog-friendly facilities such as a hot water dog wash area for muddy pups and a dedicated dog-walking area on site.<\/p>\n
