November was the seventh consecutive month of declining footfall, the trade body said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">&#8220;Storm Claudia prompted many consumers to search online for Black Friday deals throughout November, leading some to not visit bricks-and-mortar stores on Black Friday,&#8221; said Helen Dickinson, BRC CEO.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\">Data from Barclays (<a data-i13n=\"cpos:2;pos:1\" href=\"https:\/\/uk.finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/BARC.L\" data-ylk=\"slk:BARC.L;cpos:2;pos:1;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BARC.L<\/a>) also suggested a dip in spending. Barclays said card spending fell 1.1% year-on-year in November \u2013 the largest decline since February 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-1090901\"><strong>Stocks: <\/strong><a data-i13n=\"cpos:3;pos:1\"
