{"id":621886,"date":"2025-12-09T09:39:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-09T09:39:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/621886\/"},"modified":"2025-12-09T09:39:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-09T09:39:12","slug":"uk-and-germany-among-countries-with-highest-chatgpt-enterprise-customers-says-openai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/621886\/","title":{"rendered":"UK and Germany among countries with highest ChatGPT enterprise customers, says OpenAI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UK and Germany are among the countries with the highest number of ChatGPT enterprise\u00a0customers\u00a0outside the US, while the Netherlands and France are showing strong growth in business customer numbers, according to a new report from\u00a0ChatGTP\u00a0developer <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OpenAI.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>OpenAI has published selective usage figures of its AI tools, which are now used by more than one million businesses, as it looks to drive up the number of businesses paying for its tools and help fund the hundreds of billions of dollars it needs to power its growth plans.<\/p>\n<p>It also comes amid stiff competition from Anthropic and other AI labs for enterprise customers\u00a0and concerns that AI investments are yielding poor returns for businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The report\u00a0said\u00a0that the UK and Germany now rank among the largest ChatGPT enterprise markets outside of the US by customer numbers, but\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0reveal specific numbers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It also shows that the Netherlands, growing 153 per cent year to November 2025, and France, growing 146 per\u00a0cent year to November\u00a02025, are among OpenAI&#8217;s fastest-growing business markets, both above the global average of 143 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Germany was also singled out as one of the most active markets\u00a0by\u00a0message volumes.<\/p>\n<p>Across all the businesses surveyed,\u00a0OpenAI said its data showed that businesses&#8217; usage of its tools was shifting from\u00a0chatbot\u00a0and experimentation phase to core infrastructure work.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirms are beginning to reorganise work around AI,\u00a0not just ask it occasional questions,\u201d it\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>The data shows that enterprise users report saving 40 to 60 minutes per day and being able to complete technical\u00a0tasks\u00a0such as data analytics and coding, while\u00a075 per cent of enterprises said they could do faster or\u00a0higher quality\u00a0work.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI also said that API usage by businesses has increased, with more than 9,000 organisations now processing over 10 billion tokens, and nearly 200 exceeding one trillion tokens.<\/p>\n<p>The report draws on two data sets: usage data from among the one million business customers of OpenAI and an OpenAI survey of 9,000 workers across\u00a0almost\u00a0100 enterprises documenting patterns of AI adoption.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The UK and Germany are among the countries with the highest number of ChatGPT enterprise\u00a0customers\u00a0outside the US, while&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":621887,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[5310],"tags":[2000,299,1824],"class_list":{"0":"post-621886","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-germany","8":"tag-eu","9":"tag-europe","10":"tag-germany"},"share_on_mastodon":{"url":"https:\/\/pubeurope.com\/@uk\/115688948554129753","error":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/621886","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=621886"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/621886\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/621887"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=621886"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=621886"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=621886"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
