<\/p>\nHull FC have made another key off-field appointment.<\/p>\n

Former Rugby League Football CEO Tony Sutton has returned to Hull FC<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sutton stepped down from his position at the governing body in September and it’s Hull Live\u2019s understanding that he has since been working once again with the Black and Whites this off-season, with a view to continuing into the 2026 season and beyond, following the end of his notice period at the RFL.<\/p>\n Sutton previously worked at the club from 2001 to 2014, leaving his role as Chief Operating Officer to join Hull College Group in August of 2014. He then spent nearly a decade at Rugby League’s governing body, most recently as Chief Executive Officer from 2022 to 2025.<\/p>\n Sutton\u2019s return to Hull FC is understood to be another important off-field addition to the club following the appointment of Sian Jones<\/a> this off-season. The duo are expected to play a key role in the running of the club alongside CEO Richie Myler and owners Andrew Thirkill and David Hood.<\/p>\n Speaking at the time of his RFL exit, Sutton said: “It has been a privilege to work in a sport I have come to love over more than two decades, with Hull FC and the RFL \u2013 and especially to hold the position of Chief Executive of the RFL for the last three years.<\/p>\n \u201cThere have inevitably been major challenges during that period, most obviously the pandemic of 2020 \u2013 but throughout them all, it is the commitment and support of the staff of the RFL that I will remember the most fondly<\/p>\n
