Liverpool have added two youngsters to their Champions League<\/a> squad ahead of their clash with Inter Milan at San Siro.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With Mo Salah<\/a> left at home, Cody Gakpo<\/a> injured and Federico Chiesa<\/a> ill, Liverpool have named a 20-man squad to face Inter.<\/p>\n

Not named in the initial travelling party, Kieran Morrison<\/a><\/strong> has now been added to the squad, joining fellow under-21s player Wellity Lucky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Having trained with the first team on Monday, Lucky\u2019s inclusion was expected but Morrison is a late addition, likely due to the lack of forwards in Liverpool\u2019s travelling ranks.<\/p>\n

While the pair weren\u2019t named in Liverpool\u2019s List-A squad at the start of the campaign, they are eligible to play because they are on List-B<\/a> as academy players born later than 2003.<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

Both have played a big part in Liverpool\u2019s progression from the UEFA Youth League league phase this season, with the final match of the first round taking place at 3pm (GMT) on Tuesday, against Inter.<\/p>\n

They are not expected to be involved, though, as they have been called up to the first team with qualification already secured for the under-19s.<\/p>\n

Liverpool U18s coach Simon Wiles told Liverpoolfc.com<\/a>: \u201cWe have done really well away from home and for us to get a victory against PSV at the Academy was really pleasing for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cGoing to Inter now, we still want to go there and put in a good performance. We know we are through, but there are definitely things we can build on from the previous fixture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who are Kieran Morrison and Wellity Lucky?<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

Morrison is a fairly recent signing for the Premier League<\/a> champions, having joined from rivals Man United<\/a> as an under-14s player in 2021.<\/p>\n

Now 19 years old, he is flourishing as a right-sided attacker with a deadly left foot that has provided three assists in four Youth League matches so far this season.<\/p>\n

He made his debut for the first team in the Reds\u2019 Carabao Cup<\/a> defeat to Crystal Palace<\/a> in October, but despite not showing his best that night, he has continued to impress at the academy.<\/p>\n

This Is Anfield understands a number of clubs, including Wolves<\/a>, Burnley<\/a> and Sunderland<\/a>, were interested in signing Morrison over the summer, but he was convinced to stay and is now expected to sign a new contract.<\/p>\n

\"LONDON,<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lucky has excelled at centre-back, arguably moving above Amara Nallo in the pecking order at the club.<\/p>\n

The defender turns 20 in January and has seen his progression accelerate in the last year. Usually now considered the best centre-back at the academy, he has trained with the first team this season. <\/p>\n

Strong showings for the youth team led to him making his debut on the same night as Morrison, as he came on for Andy Robertson<\/a> to play the last 25 minutes against Crystal Palace<\/a>.<\/p>\n
