Lech Poznan will only be able to afford to sign Luis Palma from Celtic<\/a> on a permanent basis if they qualify for Europe next season – according to a report.<\/p>\n

After falling down the pecking order at Parkhead, the winger was shipped out to the Polish side on a season long loan last summer<\/a> after spending the second half of last season with Olympiakos. The Honduras international has found some form with the Poznan club, notching up six goals and six assists in 23 matches in all competitions.<\/p>\n

Palma<\/a>‘s team have performed well in the revamped Conference League<\/a> group stage and have collected six points from their first four games to give them a decent chance of claiming a play-off spot with two games remaining. However, they currently sit four points adrift of Ekstraklasa league leaders Wisla Plock but are just one point outside the European places.<\/p>\n

And Polish outlet Kanal Sportowy <\/a>claim that The Railwaymen will only be able to stump up the reported \u20ac4.5million (\u00a33.9million) required to land Palma beyond the summer if they are in European competition at the start of the new campaign.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Celtic star Benjamin Nygren has been nominated for Swedish Forward of the Year, where he will compete against Liverpool’s \u00a3125million striker Alexander Isak and Arsenal hotshot Viktor Gyokeres for the gong.<\/p>\n

Nygren was snapped up by the Hoops from Nordsj\u00e6lland in a bargain deal for less than \u00a32million. The 24-year-old banged in 16 goals in 32 matches for the Danish outfit last season and has continued that form in Glasgow with seven strikes in his first 25 outings.<\/p>\n

And the Swedish Football Association have confirmed he is in the running for the top award, which will be handed out over three days as part of the governing bodies annual ceremony.<\/p>\n

And finally, Jay LeFevre has penned an emotional Celtic farewell after taking up a role as Swansea City’s new chief scout. Writing on LinkedIn, the former Head of Scouting Operations said: “6 years, 12 trophies and 2 record breaking player sales in the club\u2019s history from individuals that were recruited in a period where I was leading the scouting and recruitment function on an interim basis.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy time at Celtic has come to an end, and what an experience it has been. I\u2019ll always be grateful to Celtic Football Club for the trust they placed in me as a 29 year old to lead the scouting and recruitment process with the guidance of Ange Postecoglou and the broader team during the 2021\/22 season, which led to both domestic and numerous player acquisition success stories.<\/p>\n
