{"id":62333,"date":"2025-04-30T07:28:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-30T07:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/62333\/"},"modified":"2025-04-30T07:28:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T07:28:08","slug":"chinas-shenzhou-19-astronauts-return-home-after-forced-landing-site-switch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/62333\/","title":{"rendered":"China\u2019s Shenzhou-19 astronauts return home after forced landing site switch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>China\u2019s three-person <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/china\/science\/article\/3284386\/china-launches-shenzhou-19-spacecraft-carrying-countrys-third-female-astronaut?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">Shenzhou-19<\/a> crew successfully landed at a new site in the Inner Mongolia region on Wednesday, after poor weather delayed their return from the <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/china\/science\/article\/3292844\/chinas-tiangong-space-station-research-aims-break-technology-choke-points?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiangong space station<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The crew\u2019s commander Cai Xuzhe, along with Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze \u2013 the country\u2019s third female astronaut and the only female space flight engineer \u2013 were originally supposed to make their return one day earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The <a target=\"_self\" class=\"e1yy41x40 ef9u0v01 css-1ankfgb ecgc78b0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/topics\/chinas-space-programme?module=inline&amp;pgtype=article\" title=\"\" data-qa=\"BaseLink-renderAnchor-StyledAnchor\" rel=\"noopener\">China Manned Space Agency<\/a> (CMSA) said on Wednesday that the return of the Shenzhou-19 crew \u2013 including the youngest Chinese astronaut so far \u2013 was delayed by strong winds at the original landing site.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The agency added that the landing would be moved to the eastern section of the Dongfeng landing site where the meteorological conditions met requirements.
