Next week on EastEnders, Zoe is caught in a house fire, Linda reunites with Max Branning, and Jasmine is grilled by police\u2026<\/p>\n

1. Zoe is trapped in a fire\"zoe<\/p>\n

After breaking up with Jasmine, Oscar discovers there is a fire at No.25<\/a> and bolts into the house to rescue Zoe from the flames. Meanwhile, Kat is stunned by unexpected news, then learns that her daughter is stuck in the fire. <\/p>\n

Walford residents watch the blaze in horror, before Max Branning returns to the Square<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n

2. Linda arrives home\"linda<\/p>\n

On the day of Peacock Palace\u2019s grand opening, Elaine\u2019s plans are thrown into chaos as Linda lands back in Walford<\/a>. <\/p>\n

After settling in back at home, Linda shares an unexpected chat with Sam, which gives her plenty to think about.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Phil steps up for Sam at her hospital appointment while Billy and Honey support Nicola following difficult events.<\/p>\n

3. Ian calls the police
\"peter<\/p>\n

Full of excitement, Lauren and Peter organise Jimmy\u2019s New Year’s Day christening. But when Cindy and Kathy disagree over the plans, Zoe \u2013 who is staying with Lauren and Peter \u2013 steps in to help.
<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Oscar returns home with Jasmine, which leads the Beale family to pile the pressure on him about his decision.<\/p>\n

Next, Ian escalates things by calling the police as Cindy decides to flee. Jasmine is subsequently taken to the police station, where the truth about her identity and the connection to the Ford family is revealed.<\/p>\n

4. Jean makes a confession\"jean<\/p>\n

As Jean isolates herself from her friends and family, Lily struggles to keep things up and running at home.<\/p>\n

After a conversation with Lily, Kat and Alfie grow suspicious about her living situation. Later, the couple are stunned by the state of No.3, before Lily reveals that Jean\u2019s mental health is suffering.<\/p>\n

Kat takes the time to talk things over with Jean, who makes a confession<\/a> about recent events. Shocked, Kat pledges to support Jean, then makes an unlikely ally while trying to help Zoe, which leads to a huge discovery.<\/p>\n

Also, Nigel makes progress with his Christmas movie as filming commences. Can the Walford gang pull the project off?<\/p>\n

5. Lauren is riddled with worry\"lauren<\/p>\n

Still panicking about the stolen charity money<\/a>, Lauren lies to Peter about its whereabouts. Ian offers his reassurance, but Lauren grows even more anxious when Peter assumes that the cash has been nicked. <\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Sam confides in Zack that she is waiting to hear back from a biopsy to check for breast cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

6. Phil avoids the truth\"phil<\/p>\n

To discuss Nigel\u2019s updated symptoms, Julie books Nigel in at the GP surgery. Phil is clearly uncomfortable by her decision and withholds details about Nigel at the appointment. Afterwards, Nigel makes a discovery that leaves him stressed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Yolande, Patrick and Chelsea feel concerned for Anthony when his behaviour begins to shift.<\/p>\n

7. Max keeps vigil\"lauren<\/p>\n

Max stays by Oscar\u2019s bedside as the teenager recovers from the fire. There, Max becomes suspicious of Ian and Lauren\u2019s unusual closeness. <\/p>\n

In Walford, Linda is mortified to see Max has returned. After five years apart, the former couple visit The Albert for a long overdue catch-up. <\/p>\n

Later, Max admits to Jack that he\u2019s suspicious about Ian, then makes a loud declaration in The Vic. What does Max have to say?<\/p>\n

8. Kat devises a plan\"kat<\/p>\n

BBC<\/p>\n

Having spoken to Alfie, Kat reveals that she wants to host a community dinner at the pub on Christmas Day. The landlady soon makes her plan public, but some locals are less than impressed by her idea.
<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Max and Zoe<\/a> finally cross paths after the dramatic events of the last few months.<\/p>\n

9. Julie reaches out\"julie<\/p>\n

After Nigel loses his cufflinks, Julie and Phil do their best to track them down. However, Nigel quickly becomes confused and accidentally knocks Julie. <\/p>\n

This inspires Julie to open a conversation with Phil about alternative care options for Nigel, but the Mitchell man shows no interest.<\/p>\n

Over at The Vic, Kat encourages Zoe and Alfie to get involved in Christmas preparation.<\/p>\n

10. Jasmine finds a friend\"jasmine,<\/p>\n

BBC<\/p>\n

Feeling apologetic, Jasmine tries to make amends with Oscar. Afterwards, the teen receives some words of wisdom from an unlikely pal. Who could it be?<\/p>\n

Back at the pub, Max tries to fix his past wrongs by supporting his daughter when all eyes turn on her\u2026<\/p>\n
