Birmingham City\u2019s away day misery can\u2019t continue after Queens Park Rangers inflicted a seventh defeat in 11 Championship matches thanks to Kieran Morgan\u2019s 96th minute strike.<\/a><\/p>\n

Chris Davies<\/a> made that concession after another pointless trip away from St Andrew\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Blues<\/a> were on course for a point at Loftus Road after Patrick Roberts cancelled out Jimmy Dunne\u2019s opener in the 93rd minute.<\/p>\n

Three minutes later Morgan rifled a shot beyond James Beadle\u2019s grasp to ensure Blues left London empty-handed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a painful defeat for us, as painful as it gets in the last minutes,\u201d said Davies. \u201cTo concede the winning goal in the last seconds of the game is very disappointing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn terms of the game, I thought we were probably too slow in that first half. The main problem was the first goal in some ways more than the last goal because again we\u2019ve given ourselves a lot to do. It\u2019s a really sloppy goal when I didn\u2019t think there was too much in the game at that point.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think there was much football on show from either team, it was quite scrappy as I predicted it would be. We need to get in at half-time at 0-0 at least and build from there but because we\u2019re unable to do that we\u2019ve got a lot to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

With eight points to show from their 11 away days, Blues are one of the worst travellers in the Championship.<\/p>\n

They are being carried along by a terrific home record and the pressure is on to maintain it.<\/p>\n

Davies added: \u201cWe\u2019ve got to be good away from home as well as at home. We can’t win all the time at home so we need to improve across the board.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a long season and we’re going to have all sorts of challenges, all sorts of tests, and this is another one tonight that will really test the group, their mentality, how we respond, and if we\u2019re going to be successful we have to face this kind of adversity.\u201d<\/p>\n
