I dread to think what the score would have been without Southwood today.

Taylor Moore – 4.5

For the second game in a row, Taylor Moore was played as a makeshift right wing-back. He struggled throughout this one and, like the rest of the Rovers squad, is clearly lacking confidence. I feel for Moore, though, as the right wing-back position clearly doesn’t suit his strengths.

Kacper Lopata – 6

In terms of the outfield players, Kacper Lopata was one of the best. He made a few important blocks and was unlucky not to score from corners on a couple of occasions. This included his effort in the 56th minute, which was cleared off the line.

Kacper Lopata gestures during Bristol Rovers…(Image: Photo by Stuart Leggett/MI News/NurPhoto via Getty Images)Tom Lockyer (off for Shaq Forde, 46) – 5

Tom Lockyer was withdrawn at half-time, so let’s hope it’s not injury-related. It was a tough first-half for all of the Rovers players with Barnet constantly attacking Southwood’s goal. He wasn’t at fault for either of the first-half goals, but he will be wondering when his first league win for Rovers is coming.

Sign up for our Rovers newsletter

Bristol Rovers are preparing for a new season in League Two with Darrell Clarke back at the helm and you won’t miss a beat with our free newsletter.

All the latest news, views, interviews, gossip and analysis concerning the Gas, delivered straight to your inbox.

It’s completely free and you can sign up HERE

Clinton Mola – 5

The first goal saw Clinton Mola stuck between two minds, with Danny Collinge to his left and Senior in front of him. Ultimately, Senior snuck in to head past Southwood, and given that Mola essentially had two men at the backpost, it’s hard to pin the blame on him for that one.

Jack Sparkes – 5.5

Like most games, Jack Sparkes’ delivery always causes problems for the opposition. He was particularly unlucky not to have an assist when Lopata headed his corner just over in the 39th minute. Sparkes is a player that Rovers will need to perform on Saturday if they are to end this dismal run of form.

Josh McEachran – 5 (off for Callum Morton, 62)

Rovers’ midfield was overwhelmed, particularly in the first-half, and despite some positive second half changes, the Gas never had any real control of the game. Josh McEachran is an important player for Clarke, and while he struggled to make an impact in this one, getting the best out of him in the weeks to come will be crucial if results are to improve.

Kamil Conteh – 4

I’m a fan of Kamil Conteh, and on his day, he adds a lot to Rovers’ midfield. This wasn’t his day, though, and when he gave away a penalty in the 77th minute, it summed up a disappointing evening for Conteh and Clarke’s side.

Luke Thomas (off for Freddie Issaka, 46) – 5

Luke Thomas had two first-half chances, with the biggest one coming immediately after Barnet’s opener. He was unable to score on both occasions, though, and despite some glimpses of creativity, he was withdrawn at the break.

Joel Cotterill – 5.5

Joel Cotterill was one of the very few Rovers players who looked likely to create something on a disappointing evening in Barnet. He made a couple of impressive runs forward in the first-half and threatened to make things happen with no reward. While it wasn’t a vintage display from Cotterill, he should be inked in for another start on Saturday.

Bristol Rovers Live on Whatsapp

Join Bristol Rovers Live’s Whatsapp community for all the biggest Bristol Rovers stories sent straight to your phone

Bristol Rovers Live is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join our community.

Through the app, we’ll send the Bristol Rovers news, live match coverage, team news, transfers, fixtures, analysis and more straight to your phone.

To join our community you need to already have WhatsApp. All you need to do is click this link and select ‘Join Community’.

No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Bristol Live team.

We also treat community members to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. He was asked to hold the ball up and receive long balls continually against physically stronger centre-backs, and unsurprisingly struggled. Still, though, he managed to create an opening for himself in the 23rd minute, which was well saved by Cieran Slicker. He clearly needs some help up there, and the absence of Ellis Harrison clearly doesn’t help.

Fabrizio Cavegn of Bristol Rovers during the EFL League Two match between Accrington Stanley and Bristol Rovers at The Wham Stadium on 15 November 2025 in Accrington, England (Photo by Steve Taylor/PPAUK)Substitutes:Shaq Forde – 6.5

Shaq Forde was really positive after his introduction, coming close to scoring with an instinctive effort in the 56th minute. He also shot just over the bar 19 minutes later and had a number of nice touches out on the right – helping Rovers enjoy their best spell of the game at the start of the second half.

Freddie Issaka – 6.5

One word I often use to describe Freddie Issaka is lively. He was just that, again today. He beat his man on a few occasions and linked up well with Cavegn during a decent spell for Rovers around the hour mark. Issaka deserves to start after showing how capable he is during a number of cameos.

Callum Morton – 5.5

It was a difficult environment for Callum Morton to walk into again, and despite Rovers being second best, he had some nice touches and made some decent runs to stretch the Barnet defence.

READ MORE: Jon Stead breaks down Bristol Rovers tactics and gives thoughts on Ollie Dewsbury futureREAD MORE: Callum Morton contract length revealed after signing ‘short-term deal’ with Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers lost 4-0 to Barnet in League Two dragging them closer to the relegation zone – here’s…

[8818
381,10648,2707,748,46615,393,82550,4884,16,15
0":"post-623982","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bristol","8":"tag-bristol","9":"tag-bristol-live","10":"tag-bristol-rovers-fc","11":"tag-britain","12":"tag-darrell-clarke","13":"tag-england","14":"tag-football-league-2","15":"tag-great-britain","16":"tag-uk","17":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
