KING Charles’ loos have held up to scrutiny after going head to head against other loos in a Herefordshire businesswoman’s awards.<\/p>\n
The public toilets in Windsor Great Park have been recognised with a highly commended award.<\/p>\n
The park’s facilities were praised by the Loo of the Year Awards for their high standards of accessibility, hygiene, repair, and overall quality.<\/p>\n
Herefordshire’s Becky Wall, who runs the awards with her husband Charles, said: “We met Kieran Baggott at the Saville Garden visitor centre to present a certificate to him as the Great Windsor Park was a finalist and had been awarded a highly commended in the individual washroom cleaner for England.<\/p>\n
“We were impressed by how seriously this estate takes away-from-home facilities.”<\/p>\n
The family toilets, which include disabled access, training toilets for children, and baby changing units, were particularly commended.<\/p>\n
The sinks have sensor taps and low-level basins for children.<\/p>\n
The visitor centre’s men’s, women’s, and disabled access toilets were described as “modern, fresh, and very much deserved the platinum plus grades they had received in the 2024 awards inspections.”<\/p>\n
The Great Windsor Park had four entries in the 2024 Loo of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n
The Saville Garden visitor centre and adventure playground both received a platinum plus status, while the Heather Garden and Virginia water pavilion were awarded platinum status.<\/p>\n
The park is part of the Windsor Estate of King Charles III, who recommended that his estates should consider entering the Loo of the Year Awards.<\/p>\n
