I’m A Celebrity are set to air the unseen moment that one campmate left Australia<\/a> due to personal reasons. Alex Scott was the first celebrity to leave camp, and whilst many might be gutted to be out first, Alex was happy to be back in ‘real life’. Before she entered the jungle, Alex’s partner Jess Glynne suffered a family emergency. Her mum fell ill and when Alex came out of the jungle, not seeing Jess on the bridge, she was concerned things had got worse for Jess’ mother.<\/p>\n

When she met her friend Regan on the bridge, Alex asked how Jessica was, with Regan revealing that Jess had just messaged her. Discussing what she had learned from her time in the jungle, she said: “Ultimately\u2026 it\u2019s OK to be me, I\u2019m OK to love who I love, be who I am and just be content in that happiness.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve been with 11 other campmates from all different walks of life and they accepted me for just being me.” When Alex got emotional on arriving back to the hotel, she was greeted with everyone’s family and friends.<\/p>\n

She later appeared on Unpacked, where she discussed her decision to go home and be with Jess. “I have to head home now due to personal stuff that\u2019s going on with Jessica and her family. I need to go there and be her rock and her support,” she said of her decision to leave Australia immediately.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s been a tough time but I just wanted to say from both Jess and I, we really appreciate all the love and support that\u2019s been shown and this journey has been magical and one that I will never forget, thank you so much, I\u2019m out and time for me to head home.”<\/p>\n

When Jess was quizzed about why she didn’t meet Alex on the bridge, she explained that her mother had a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery, hence why she stayed in the UK.<\/p>\n

“My woman might be out far earlier than she ever deserved, but l’m so unbelievably proud of her. She didn’t get the airtime to show how incredible she really is and trust me, this is only the beginning.<\/p>\n

“I know people will wonder why I wasn’t there at the end of the bridge, so I wanted to share something personal. Over the last few weeks my mum suffered a major stroke and needed urgent brain surgery. It’s been a really serious, life-altering time for my family, and I’ve had to stay close to home. Alex would always want me to be where l’m needed most. I can\u2019t wait to have her back by my side.”<\/p>\n
