\n\tLily Allen<\/a> stopped by The Tonight Show<\/a> to promote her upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live and took the opportunity to reveal some future plans for her new album West End Girl. <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter telling host Jimmy Fallon<\/a> how she wrote and recorded the album in 10 days last year, Fallon noted, \u201cIn London, they\u2019re trying to make West End Girl into a play.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s true,\u201d Allen confirmed. \u201cAre you involved with that?\u201d Fallon asked. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI might be,\u201d Allen replied, mysteriously. \u201cThe ink is not dry\u2014is that what they say? Something like that? But, you know, I\u2019m definitely having some conversations with people about it. It\u2019s very exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Allen didn\u2019t reveal any details, Allen has a recent history in London\u2019s West End. In the album\u2019s opening track, she sings about being offered a role in a play without auditioning. The lyrics may reference Allen\u2019s 2021 stage debut in 2:22 A Ghost Story at the No\u00ebl Coward Theatre in London. The play was directed by Matthew Dunster and earned Allen a nomination for the Olivier Awards for Best Actress. Earlier this year, Allan also starred in Dunster\u2019s modern reimagining of Henrik Ibsen\u2019s Hedda Gabler, which was staged in Bath, England. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAllen also discussed her upcoming sold-out West End Girl tour<\/a>, which kicks off March 2 in Glasgow. \u201cThat\u2019s why I came here, to sell tickets to my tour, but it\u2019s sold out today,\u201d she said. The North American leg of the tour begins April 3 at Chicago\u2019s the Auditorium and spans nine gigs, concluding April 28 at San Francisco\u2019s The Masonic. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe concerts, dubbed \u201cLily Allen Performs West End Girl,\u201d will find the British singer doing just that, performing her latest album in its entirety, in the same order as they appear on\u00a0West End Girl.<\/p>\n
