Simon Jordan has become the latest media figure to pile on to Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Is that really a surprise? This has never been a guy who keeps his baseless disapproval to himself.<\/p>\n

Nancy\u2019s use of a tactics board<\/a> in his first game in charge of Celtic<\/a> drew a hysterical reaction from quarters of the media, and plenty have already nailed their colours to the mast.<\/p>\n

Despite the noise, Nancy<\/a> has insisted that he blocks it out, instead focusing on the task at hand ahead of Thursday\u2019s Europa League<\/a> clash with Roma.<\/p>\n

And previewing the European encounter, Jordan<\/a> and his host Jim White inevitably got on to the conversation of tactics board-gate.<\/p>\n

Simon Jordan\u2019s arrogant monologue on Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy<\/p>\n

Nancy\u2019s credentials as Celtic manager have been dismissed after a week by some.<\/p>\n

And famously successful club owner Jordan, who oversaw Crystal Palace\u2019s descent into administration, doesn\u2019t seem to be having Nancy at all.<\/p>\n

On Thursday\u2019s talkSPORT,<\/a> Jordan got on his high horse about the Hoops boss, before White eventually interjected.<\/p>\n

Jordan said: \u201cThere\u2019s no credentials, in my mind, for managing in the MLS and managing in Scottish football.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t get a hold of this, you\u2019ll get your backside handed to you tonight, by a decent European side in Roma.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then all of a sudden, you\u2019re two games in, and you\u2019ve started with changing the team around from the team that O\u2019Neill had stabilised and got some results out of.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve changed that around, and you\u2019ve gone out there looking like a coach who is all theory and no practice. And you\u2019ve lost the game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jim White interjected, saying: \u201cBut it\u2019s game one! He\u2019s just arrived!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan said: \u201cI know, it\u2019s unfortunate, isn\u2019t it. But first impressions are the ones that last the longest. Make the right one.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t give people an opportunity to parody what you\u2019re doing. I know I\u2019m always in the camp of saying to somebody, \u2018give people an opportunity\u2019\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when you walk into a situation like Celtic, one of these unique jobs \u2013 there aren\u2019t many of them about \u2013 the focus is instantaneously upon you.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s wonderful that Nigel Reo-Coker talks about him, but with all due respect, I don\u2019t think people are listening to Nigel Reo-Coker when it comes to the appointment of a manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think the MLS is a blueprint for how you manage European sides. But hey, I\u2019m happy to be proven wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe reason why I\u2019m saying it is that the first impression is important. Because us b\u2014\u2013s in the media, and I include myself in that, we will judge you, forever and a day, on that impression. You\u2019ll never get away from it.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo win a game. Don\u2019t change too much. Be sensible, get the outcome, move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

White said: \u201cI think it\u2019s so picky. Russell Martin was criticised in some quarters for opting not to wear a suit. Big deal!<\/p>\n

\u201cIf he\u2019d won more games, he\u2019d still be there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan said: \u201cI know I might be a philistine, but I do think this baffles brains, all this stuff. The players should know what they\u2019re capable of doing, the manager should set them up at the beginning of the game\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cYou shouldn\u2019t need a bleeding tactics board on the site of a pitch, going through it. It\u2019s ridiculous.\u201d<\/p>\n

White finally said: \u201cBut there\u2019d have been no uproar about that if they\u2019d won the match.\u201d<\/p>\n
