At present, Liverpool want Salah to stay<\/a>, but it\u2019s not yet known if he will be involved against the Seagulls after he was dropped from the squad completely earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Gary Lineker concerned about Mohamed Salah<\/p>\n

Salah<\/a> is under contract at Anfield until 2027, but Gary Lineker is worried that the Egyptian\u2019s legacy could be spoiled by his recent actions.<\/p>\n

Lineker also expects him to miss the clash with Brighton on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Rest Is Football<\/a> podcast, he said: \u201cI find it a little bit sad. Yeah. You know, obviously lot of the footballing world are attacking Mo, and I understand why.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just hope his legacy is not spoiled here. And I think he\u2019s just got a bit emotional and he got caught out the wrong time having not been brought on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wonder if he regrets it now. I saw him post on Instagram of him just in the gym, totally on his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I hope they can find a way out of this. Maybe Mo can go, well, you know, I\u2019m sorry. I got a bit emotional. I shouldn\u2019t have done it. Blah blah blah. That might sort it out.<\/p>\n

\u201cOtherwise, what they\u2019re going to do at the weekend now, I suspect he\u2019ll be out again because he\u2019s got the African Cup of Nations.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if they can have kind of sign of kind of peace conference before he goes, kiss and make up, go away, play the African Cup of Nations, come back refreshed, reinvigorated, perhaps slightly apologetic because I\u2019d hate it\u2019d be awful if it ended kind of miserably after such a wonderful like what is it, nine years?\u201d<\/p>\n

How much is Mohamed Salah now worth<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, it was reported that Liverpool turned down an initial offer of \u00a3100m<\/a>, plus \u00a350m in add-ons, for the winger.<\/p>\n

However, his form has since declined in 2025\/26, and the Leeds United interview suggests he is now looking for an exit.<\/p>\n

Will that have any bearing on his price tag? It\u2019s hard to say as the Saudi Pro League are interested<\/a> and they are more than capable of spending big.<\/p>\n

Transfermarkt<\/a> values the player at \u20ac30m, yet it\u2019s hard to see Liverpool accepting such a low sum, even given his age.<\/p>\n
