Outraged football fans have accused FIFA<\/a> of a \u201cmonumental betrayal\u201d after it emerged the CHEAPEST tickets for next summer\u2019s World Cup<\/a> final will cost a staggering \u00a33,120. And England supporters will have to fork out a minimum of \u00a3200 to watch Thomas Tuchel\u2019s side take on Croatia in their opening group game<\/a>.<\/p>\n That will be for a so-called \u2018value tier\u2019 seat in the 100,000-capacity stadium in Dallas with the price of a \u2018standard tier\u2019 ticket coming in at \u00a3373. A \u2018premier tier\u2019 ticket will cost an eye-watering \u00a3523. For an opening group game.<\/p>\n Those figures are for tickets bought through the \u2018participant member allocation\u2019 (PMA) – in other words, for those who get their tickets through the official England Supporters Travel Club (ESTC). News of the PMA ticket-price scale has outraged supporters\u2019 groups around the world<\/a>.<\/p>\n Football<\/a> Supporters Europe (FSE) said that based on the information it so far had available, fans faced paying over \u00a36,000 to attend every match from the first game to the final via the PMA allocation – FIVE TIMES more than they would have paid to do so at Qatar<\/a> 2022.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Why all World Cup matches will have three-minute breaks each half<\/a>READ MORE: BBC and ITV fixture split for 2026 World Cup: Who’s showing England’s games?<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cFootball Supporters Europe is astonished by the extortionate ticket prices imposed by FIFA on the most dedicated supporters for next year\u2019s FIFA World Cup<\/a>,\u201d a statement said. \u201cThis is a monumental betrayal of the tradition of the World Cup, ignoring the contribution of supporters to the spectacle it is.<\/p>\n \u201cWe call on FIFA to immediately halt PMA ticket sales, engage in a consultation with all impacted parties, and review ticket prices and category distribution until a solution that respects the tradition, universality, and cultural significance of the World Cup is found.\u201d<\/p>\n Following England from the first match of Euro 2024 to the final with tickets in the \u2018fan first\u2019 category would have cost \u00a3328 according to information published by UEFA in the autumn of 2023. Even tickets in the next category up would have cost a total of \u00a3753.<\/p>\n England fans\u2019 group Free Lions posted on X to say it backed FSE\u2019s statement, adding that these were \u201cshocking prices, above and beyond the already high costs we suspected\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cThis can\u2019t be allowed to happen,” the group added. “Match-goers across the world deserve protection from these rip-off prices,\u201d the group\u2019s statement added.<\/p>\n Tickets for England\u2019s group matches against Panama and Ghana start at \u00a3134 with the cheapest available for round of 32 and 16 matches coming in at \u00a3175 and \u00a3200.
