The move to 3-5-2 is Farke showing his wide options aren\u2019t enough.<\/p>\n<p>Plenty have been linked with Leeds since December began. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/fabrizio-romano-says-leeds-united-have-made-move-for-21m-serie-a-star-in-the-last-few-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin Baturina was the subject of talks<\/a> while the man who scuppered Leeds\u2019 move to sign Harry Wilson is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/leeds-united-now-eyeing-22m-man-that-scuppered-harry-wilsons-elland-road-move\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also an Elland Road target \u2013 Tyrique George<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/GettyImages-2250049699-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Ayase Ueda.\" class=\"wp-image-122286\" \/>Photo by Dennis Bresser\/BSR Agency\/Getty ImagesExpert tells Leeds to sign striker with 19 goals in 21<\/p>\n<p>But if Leeds wanted to sign a striker, then the chances are they will have go into Europe to bring in a new forward. One option could be Arne Slot\u2019s record Feyenoord signing, <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/football\/3808791\/ayase-ueda-transfer-next-club-leeds-arne-slot-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">\u00a39m<\/a> Japan international Ayase Ueda.<\/p>\n<p>The forward, a teammate of Ao Tanaka at international level, has been immense this season. A record of 19 goals in 21 games and 18 in 15 Eredivisie games. Ueda scored four in his last league game on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>European expert Andy Brassell was speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/talksport.com\/football\/3808791\/ayase-ueda-transfer-next-club-leeds-arne-slot-record\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TalkSPORT<\/a> on Thursday about Ueda, and reckons Ueda is perfect for Leeds: \u201cI wonder if a bottom-half Premier League team has a dart for him next summer.<\/p>\n<p>MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOr maybe even as early as January, depending on where they\u2019re at. He\u2019s kind of got Leeds written all over him. There\u2019s a lot to like about them, but where are the guys putting it in the back of the net?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are big question marks\u00a0over [Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha]. \u201cIn January, there will be a couple of bottom-half Premier League clubs that have a dart for him. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n<p>   Ueda would be a top signing, but it ends Joel Piroe\u2019s stay<\/p>\n<p>Piroe is already likely to be considering the exit door at Elland Road, having seen Noah Okafor replace him Lukas Nmecha in the starting line-up on Saturday night instead of himself, naturally a centre-forward. <\/p>\n<p>That was damning for Piroe and while he is still getting game time, another striker signing simply shows Piroe that Leeds don\u2019t believe he has what it takes to score goals in the Premier League this season.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/the-chances-of-joel-piroe-leaving-leeds-united-with-agent-talking-to-clubs\/#:~:text=Leeds%20United%20News%20asked%20our,Piroe%20to%20leave%20benefit%20Leeds%3F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Piroe has already asked his agents to scour the market<\/a> in case he needs to go and the signing of Ueda pushes him closer to the exit door, if he\u2019s not already there.
