Manchester Rum Festival will be returning to the city this summer and it\u2019s bringing a new rum party with it.<\/p>\n

Now in its eighth year, the rum festival <\/a>will take place at New Century on Saturday, July 26, and will feature stalls from a number of premium rum suppliers, as well as Caribbean food, seminars, workshops, live DJs and plenty of samples to trial out.<\/p>\n

But this year, the festival will form just one part of a week-long celebration with the introduction of Manchester Rum Week. The festivities will see some of the best rum and cocktail joints in the city centre<\/a> get involved in the fun.<\/p>\n

The week-long celebration will see a number of top venues offer a range of specials and events, alongside some exclusive creations that have been curated specifically for the week.<\/p>\n

Whilst exact venues and creations are currently under wraps, organisers have promised it will be a \u2018big week\u2019 for the city and continue to elevate what the Manchester Rum Festival has offered rum lovers.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Manchester Rum Festival will be headlined by rum cocktail bar MONIN and new food vendor Elijo’s, with the likes of Mount Gay from Barbados, Chairman’s Reserve of Saint Lucia, Guyana’s Pusser’s and Don Papa from the Philippines all taking part.<\/p>\n

Newcomers to the festival will include Jamaica\u2019s West Grove Rum Punch, Henstone Distillery of Shropshire and Precious Drops. Tickets for Manchester Rum Festival will start from \u00a327.50 each.<\/p>\n

Festival founder Dave Marsland has already dubbed this year a \u2018game-changer\u2019 for rum enthusiasts, featuring some never-tasted-before spirits from global players.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unbelievable but after eight years, Manchester Rum Festival just gets bigger and better every year,\u201d Dave explained. \u201cWe moved to New Century Hall last year and the venue has enabled us to support even more rum brands from far flung corners of the globe, as well as a host of rum fans, many of whom travel into Manchester just for the occasion.<\/p>\n
