Leeds United\u2019s<\/a> January transfer policy is likely to hinge on two different factors: how much the club have to spend, and who they could make a move for.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Three games remain in 2025 for United. A trip to Brentford looms this Saturday<\/a>, before a home test against Crystal Palace before Christmas<\/a>, and a visit up to Sunderland after Christmas.<\/p>\n

After that, Daniel Farke will be looking to sink his teeth into some potential transfer business<\/a>. His ability to land certain targets does hinge on available funds, though.<\/p>\n

LeedsLive<\/a> now share that Leeds\u2019 recruitment team believe the best avenue for securing a signing or two in January is finding players that are unsettled at their current clubs:<\/p>\n

What obstacles do Leeds United face as they plan for January transfers?<\/p>\n

As ideal as a signing or two would be for Farke, there\u2019s clearly issues to overcome. The most obvious is the lack of funds the club has regarding PSR.<\/p>\n

After around \u00a3100million spent in the summer and very little in the way of incoming fees from sales, Leeds are on the edge of their PSR threshold. Managing director Robbie Evans confirmed that after the summer window shut<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, if we want to bring in players, there\u2019ll have to be a sale made in the first half of 2026. Leeds would need to sanction a permanent exit before the June 30th cut-off for this financial year.<\/p>\n

Beyond that, finding the right profiles mid-season is an ask. Leeds looked like they were about to sign Harry Wilson on deadline day<\/a>. Fast-forward to December, and there\u2019s no chance Fulham sell to a direct rival after a string of stunning goals.<\/p>\n

There are, however, options out there who haven\u2019t enjoyed the first half of 25\/26. As a result, they could be offered a lifeline by moving to Elland Road.<\/p>\n
