Liverpool icon Roberto Firmino has reacted with warmth to the idea that Mohamed Salah<\/a> and Arne Slot could put their differences aside. The Egyptian’s former teammate did so in the aftermath of Reds head coach’s discussion with the media on Friday morning.<\/p>\n In his pre-Brighton press conference, Slot<\/a> confirmed there will be decisive face-to-face talks between himself and Salah<\/a>. “I will have a conversation with him this morning and the outcome of that conversation will determine how it looks tomorrow,” the head coach explained.<\/p>\n “What I need is a conversation with him and the next time I speak about Mo should be with him and not in here. There’s not much more I can say. Firmino<\/a> saw the reporter’s post on Instagram and moved swiftly to type a comment including no words, only the clapping, red love heart and praying emojis.<\/p>\n Such a response may indicate Firmino is in support of talks between Salah<\/a> and Slot, potentially leading to the 33-year-old’s reintegration back into the Liverpool<\/a> squad.<\/p>\n A Premier League<\/a> and Champions League<\/a> winner with the Reds between 2015 and 2023, Firmino shared a close bond with fellow attacker Salah. Earlier this year the Brazilian shared his delight<\/a> to see both club and player win another English league title.<\/p>\n “I’m happy for Liverpool and for what Mohamed Salah has achieved,’ he announced. “I think we have a great friendship, and we’ve built a beautiful history together. If he’s watching me now, I’m very proud of him and his friendship.”<\/p>\n However, whilst Salah’s future has been cast into doubt over recent days he has been linked with exiting the club to the Saudi Pro League<\/a>, which would emulate the transfer Firmino made more than two years ago when leaving the Reds at the end of his contract.<\/p>\n He joined Al-Ahli, where he experienced a challenging spell<\/a>.
