A reconciliation between\u00a0 King Charles<\/a> and Prince Harry<\/a> is getting closer and closer, particularly after the Home Office issued a review into his security<\/a> for when he returns to the UK. Harry had a meeting with his father earlier this year which lasted just under an hour, but the meeting went positively and has resulted in further discussions in Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle<\/a>, returning to the UK along with their children. King Charles is now preparing to give an update<\/a> on his cancer journey to in an address to the nation as he speaks about his recovery.<\/p>\n

It is understood by Express.co.uk that Harry has told friends that he knows his father wants him home so he can spend time with his grandchildren. Harry’s children haven’t often been around the family as he and Meghan<\/a> moved to the US in 2020, but it seems that both parties are now keen to rebuild that relationship. However, the streaming giant Netflix<\/a> are keen to be involved too.<\/p>\n

Sources have said: “Netflix<\/a> want to be there and follow the return home of the prodigal son and his wife as they return to English soil.” It wouldn’t be the first time that Harry and Meghan would have worked with the streaming giant, having released their own TV show in 2022.<\/p>\n

Meghan has also released her own shows on Netflix, as her show With Love, Meghan hit the screens, alongside a holiday special that was released earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The source also said a Netflix deal could be beneficial for the royals too, adding: “It\u2019s a family business at the end of the day. It desperately needs a positive injection and before the King gets too old or sicker.”<\/p>\n

They also stated that Meghan is expected to seek forgiveness from the King and once he grants it, things will be well again.<\/p>\n

Charles is keen to reunite with his son after they had a reunion in September 2025 at Clarence House, which was their first in-person meeting since February 2024. Harry issued public statements on multiple occasions about wanting to reunite with his family.<\/p>\n

In the months since the meeting he has made it clear that he had hoped for a reconciliation, which could now be on track if Harry does get his security review approved.<\/p>\n
